The Denver Hospice is seeking a strong clinical leader to oversee operations of our 24 hour Inpatient Care Center (ICC). This role offers a unique opportunity for an experienced nurse manager who enjoys leading through change, rebuilding team culture, and strengthening clinical operations within a highly visible program.
The ICC provides short term symptom management and higher acuity support when patients cannot be safely managed in other care settings. Leadership is currently focused on strengthening team structure, resetting operational standards, and positioning the unit for continued growth and long term stability.
This position will work closely with senior clinical leadership to help guide the next phase of the program’s development.
Leadership Scope
• Provide full clinical and operational leadership of the 24 hour Inpatient Care Center
• Lead a team of nurses and support staff while reinforcing accountability, structure, and strong clinical standards
• Serve as a key leader in strengthening team culture, performance expectations, and operational workflows
• Guide interdisciplinary collaboration and plan of care coordination across the unit
• Support admissions, eligibility review, and discharge planning processes
• Ensure consistent staffing coverage and effective workforce management
• Monitor utilization, productivity, and key operational KPIs
• Maintain regulatory readiness, documentation standards, and quality initiatives
• Participate in a rotating leadership on call schedule
What We Are Looking For
• Active Colorado RN license required
• Minimum three years of healthcare supervisory or leadership experience
• Leadership background in inpatient, hospital, or other high acuity clinical settings
• Experience managing staffing, workflow, and team accountability
• Demonstrated ability to lead teams through change, rebuild processes, and strengthen performance standards
• Strong communication skills and sound clinical judgment
• Hospice experience helpful but not required

• Compensation aligned with senior level clinical management responsibilities (ranges from $100-$115k)
